In Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo’s overburden mining sector, workers income is being stolen from them every single hour by employers not providing fair wages for the work they do.

What's happening?
Reoccurring complaints of wage theft by multiple employers in Fort McMurray’s overburden mining sector have led the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955 to increase focus on the sector in the region to help recover income that rightfully belongs to the workers who make the industry run.
Reports of multiple incidents of wage theft have been reported to IUOE Local 955. The Local, which is one of the biggest trade unions in western Canada, asks overburden mining workers to view the below information closely.
